TRIED & TESTED

BIP – This is not a venue!!
The opening of the Magritte Museum, early June, did not go without the necessary celebrations and of course the presence of the entire international press. No less than 200 journalists from all over the world were invited by BI-TC, OPT & Toerisme Vlaanderen to Brussels and were treated to the best the city has to offer in a typical Brussels fashion.
What better way to celebrate this occasion than by organizing a rather surrealistic Brussels Party at the prestigious venue of the BIP (Brussels Info Place), the immediate neighbour of the Magritte Museum.

After the aperitif the guests visited the permanent exhibition “Experience Brussels” – a total overview of the Brussels Capital Region - on the first floor of the BIP; their enthusiastic reaction said it all!

On the ground floor, the exceptional ‘Salle des Guichets’, was transformed into a first class restaurant. One of Brussels’ most famous chefs, Yves Mattagne, prepared a special “Magritte” menu for the occasion: a savoury Brussels Waffle with North sea shrimps, Veal with Belgian Asparagus and – what else – a ‘Magritte’ Apple’ dessert.

We took a confident& safe gamble by inviting the International Press to our BIP venue, but the charm of the house, combined with the culinary prowess of one of our best chefs with a typical Brussels ambiance ‘sauce’ made this into a great event. We can only recommend the use of the BIP for organizers who want a central location, a historical venue and first class service” declared an enthusiastic Jean-Marie Pire of BI-TC.
