Biennale Art Nouveau (Every weekend of October)
Brussels is definitely the capital of Art Nouveau which is why the ‘Biennale Art Nouveau’ in October, now in its 5th edition, is an event cherished by the connoisseurs! For the first time there will be also fine examples of Art Deco included in these unique tours. Every weekend of October mansions, private houses, schools and shops, all fine examples of this popular art form, will be opened to visitors for guided tours. Nocturnes or Late-Evening Openings of the Brussels Museums (Every Thursday evening from end of September till mid December)
The Late-Evening Openings take place every year from the end of September till mid December. Every Thursday evening, at least five different museums stay open between 5 and 10pm, proposing original activities for only € 2,50 (€ 1 up to 25 years of age) or for free. A great and original way of discovering museums differently if only for the fact to seeing them at night!

11th Belgian Beer Weekend @ Grand’Place (04.09.09-06.09.09)

During the first weekend of September the Grand’ Place of Brussels will again serve as the setting for the 11th edition of the ‘Belgian Beer Weekend’. More than 40 breweries, ranging from small-, medium-sized to large Belgian breweries, participate to present their best beers. Design September (10.09.09 – 02.10.09)
For the 4th year running, the first design festival of Brussels brings together more than 80 events over three weeks. Almost 250 designers and architects from Belgium and abroad will participate and share their passion through conferences, symposiums, awards, exhibitions, meetings, soirées and drinks. New this year is the first Design Professionals’ Meeting which takes place at Flagey on October 2. It brings together the experts and professionals of different design fields around two topics: pack design and international design awards. It’s our Earth 2. From Kyoto to Copenhagen @ Tour & Taxis (10.09.09- 28.03.10)

In view of the success – over 200.000 visitors! – of the first exhibition, it was decided to extend and adapt the exhibition by creating a new edition entitled ‘It’s our Earth 2. From Kyoto to Copenhagen’. Its aim will be to createawareness among visitors on what will be at stake during the historical event of Copenhagen which should end up with a new protocol to replace Kyoto’s.
