 ‘Layar’ is a free to use ‘augmented reality application’ for iPhone and smart phones. When Layar is activated and you point your phone in any direction, Layar will use your camera feed to display layer specific information via a transparent filter.
NBTC now provides the Holland-layer, which enables you to display interesting touristic information in the area around you. For example, if you are standing on the Museumplein in Amsterdam and activate the Holland-layer, you’ll be able to access all the information on attractions and museums nearby and it will even point you in the right direction.
