Hotel des Bains - Robertville, a lake of tranquillity!

The Hotel des Bains is a charming house with character, located in a unique setting on the secluded south shore of Lake Robertville in its own magnificent grounds. With the Hautes Fagnes nature reserve nearby, the stunning countryside is perfect for outdoor activities.

An ‘old’ value for the area, the hotel was taken over some 5 years ago by a young couple and totally renovated into a contemporary yet authentic 13 bedroom hotel with its own first class Spa. Ideal for meetings up to 25 persons that require a secluded venue with a bit of pampering and lots of fresh air and not too far from major cities.

And let’s not forget the excellent food prepared by the master of the house himself who apprenticed at the best restaurants of the land. Let yourself be convinced by this little gem nestled by the lake, you’ll not be disappointed.

Distillery visits in Biercée

How do 10 kilograms of fruit become a bottle of brandy or liqueur? This and many other questions you may have had about the production of ‘hard’ liquor can be found at the ‘Distillerie de Biercée’. Everything started right after the war when a surplus of apples in the area led to a couple of men turning a torpedo tube from a German submarine into a still. They never looked back and today the distillery is running at full steam in the beautiful Ferme de la Cour with over 230.000 bottles sold every year. The distillery is also a perfect location for events and parties with a capacity of up to 500 people.

The Distillerie de Biercée produces not only its incomparable Eau de Villee to the highest traditional standards, but also the finest P'tit Peket, Arlequin, Poire Williams N°1, raspberry, plum brandy and more... the visit of the installations is definitely an eye opener, the tasting afterwards is usually much appreciated and the perfect start for a great event in the beautifully restored farm buildings.

Italianate Theatre in the Belgian countryside: Palais de Plume

Ittre, in the heart of the Walloon Brabant region, is not the place where one would expect an authentic lyrical theatre of Tuscan inspiration. This former theatre of the château of Ittre dating from the 19th century has been restored with taste that preserves the charm of the locale. The Palais de Plume has an enormous theatre (400m²) and a large Orangery (350m²) as well as a pleasant “Havana” lounge (60m²).

In the flowering gardens and the terraces which can be used on summer days, one can enjoy the music of the cascades and pools and the theatrical fountain. Its proximity to the Belgian Capital and the quality of its services has made the Palais de Plume into a favorite destination for weddings but also for events that require a dream setting.

In its previous life, the Waux-Hall as it was called then, was one of the places to be at the turn of last century. It was lovingly restored in 1997 by its new owners and is now a gem, certainly to be considered by organizers who look for that little bit extra to make their event extra special.

Conventions in the Capital of Wallonia: Namur

Nestled in the heart of the town, the magnificent character building of the Palais des Congrès (Congress Centre) combines practicality with modern infrastructure. The building was constructed in 1934 on the ashes of the market square part of town, destroyed in August 1914. Today it has been made into a modern and practical building with all facilities.

The infrastructure of the Palais des Congrès today houses an auditorium for 300 delegates equipped with 4 translation booths, an auditorium for 200 people equipped with 2 booths, a reception area, a flexible foyer space and many breakout rooms. The Palais is professionally run by Artexis, who in Belgium provide a guarantee for a certain level of excellence. Its location in the centre of the town, within walking distance of the train station, makes the Palais des Congrès also a very green venue, a detail much appreciated by many organizers.
