Safety concerns – most parts of the country can be visited safely provided you take the same common sense precautions as you would in most countries, and especially big cities.

WHAT THE PROFESSIONALS SAY….

“I have not yet been lucky enough to visit South Africa, but I’ve done SWOT analyses on many destinations around the world. In my extensive researches I have never come across a country with so many strengths, so few weaknesses & so many great opportunities for business travel, meetings, events & incentives.
Nkosi sikelel iAfrica - Yes, the Lord certainly blessed South Africa!”

Bruce Taylor, BBT Online, Belgium

“Our South African experience was GREAT. The country is still so original in many ways. It has the “Big Five”, wonderful beaches & affordable accommodation. …offering high class standards with high value for money.
With pleasure, we will be sending even more groups to this outgoing destination. With the World Cup 2010 as the big Sports Event and even Beyond 2010 we have opened doors. For the locals and corporate tourist, 2010 will add value to the country. I am looking forward to my next Sports Incentive trip, trusting my customers will have the experience of a lifetime.”

Raymon Honings, Managing Director EAE, Netherlands

"The big advantage of South Africa is that the destination is easily accessible from all around the World. So even for international conventions it is quite easy to have them all arrive on the same day, which is very suitable for starting big meetings, presentations and exhibitions.
But also for incentives it is a very attractive destination. There are no jetlag problems which means you can start the programme immediately upon arrival and enjoy every single minute ! The variety of product offer is very wide and every kind of company will find something they’ve dreamed about. Once the client agrees on the long flight and if they have enough time to travel, South Africa is a destination that pleases ! And as an organiser you know the group will have a great time and return with incredible memories."

Anouk Carryn – A.C.T.E Travel & Events, Belgium

“South Africa is the country with lots of good possibilities, from comfortable hotels, to nice state-of-art venues, and from beautiful inspiring landscapes to bustling and happening cities, if you would like to have an active programme or some culinary experiences, South Africa is THE country! Not to mention the nice friendly people, the good infrastructure and the world class wines!”
Dennis Valk, MICE Project Manager American Express, Netherlands

…and on the selection of South Africa as the 2010 international conference destination for the prestigious global Society of Incentive Travel Executives:
"The choice to go to South Africa fully aligns with SITE’s strategic vision. As a global leader in our space, what better way to live our mission than to select a destination that exemplifies diversity, growth and an eye for the future?"
Brenda Anderson, SITE CEO, USA
