This June, Zeeland Meetings & Events’ Ingrid de Leeuw and Van der Valk Middelburg invited BBT Online and twenty Belgian MICE organisers to visit their hotel in Zeeland – surprisingly this took a shorter drive than going to the Belgian coast.

Our hotel room was superb and very spacious. During our stay, we got in touch with some surprising local suppliers: we learned to fly kites at the beach, got to sail, shucked some oysters – you name it. The food was great as well. Dutch gastronomy in general took some giant steps forward in recent years.

Zeeland is close by, varied and offers good value for money. Not all beach destinations need to be in the warm south.

Guest article: Why is social media not working for your company
Hugo Slimbrouc

Every school is telling us to strive for excellence and if possible perfection. But is this truly a good idea or is being obsessed with perfection often an obstacle to progress and development?

Too much left brain thinking and over striving can take away the road to finding creative solutions and ultimately the ability to innovate. It is no different in the event business, where we look for new ways to dream, inspire and excel.

Read all Hugo Slimbrouck (Ovation Global DMC) has to say about this topic behind the link.
