A secret garden in Brussels
Prison time in Bangkok
secret garden

A hotel you actually need to find first doesn’t seem to be the most convincing idea, but Brussels’ new Jardin Secret Hotel makes it work.

This small boutique hotel is located in a little alley in the centre of Brussels and has a bit of a speakeasy feel to it.

The entrance is a plant shop, and the four beautiful rooms are located around a secret city garden.

Perfect for a quiet getaway.
Prison Bangkok

Spending the night in prison is not what many people are looking forward to when visiting Thailand. But Sook Station, in central Bangkok, offers you exactly that.

In this prison themed hotel, you get your mugshot taken when you check in, you’ll have to put on some striped pyjamas and your cell is a magnificent 8m² for two people and has bars in front of the window. There is room for luxury as well though. The prison comes with a Jacuzzi and a beautiful rooftop terrace.
U Eat & Sleep in Antwerp

U Antwerp is a great new venue right across from the MAS Museum. It offers a combination of fine dining (the kitchen is run by star chef Viki Geunes – ‘t Zilte) at an affordable rate and staying in a small boutique hotel.

It comes with three different food experiences: a restaurant, a (food)bar and a lounge, and offers 15 individually designed rooms. The location is of course superb, and can be enjoyed from a beautiful terrace. Great new addition to an already flourishing neighbourhood.

Meatpacking district in Antwerp
Event trends for 2018

Meatpack is a new event venue located in Antwerp’s Damwijk quarter. This old factory hangar (5000m² of event space) was completely refurbished and is now a venue that wants to blend contemporary art, fashion, street art and nightlife into one explosive melting pot.

It’s (obviously) based on the trendy Meatpacking District in Manhattan, New York, and hopefully it will bring a bit of that atmosphere to Antwerp.

How can you be ready for GDPR by May the 25th? SITE Belgium helps you on the way. Venue: The completely new Tech Lounge of Bluepoint, Brussels. When? February 20, from 12 till 3 pm. Inscription and further information, click here.

BBT Online’s bucket list – Christophe Van Campenhout

Every month we ask some prominent MICE personalities to share their bucket list.

What are the five things they desperately want to do or achieve before they seize to be, push up the daisies, kick the bucket or go to meet their maker? In short, what would they definitely want to do before they die?

This month we asked Christophe Van Campenhout, Managing Director and owner at Act-Wise and at Point-Break.
