NOOZ, a unique relaxation venue in Antwerp Province

In the heart of the Antwerp Kempen region, in Grobbendonk lies NOOZ, a beautiful villa in a wooded oasis of quiet.

Winner of the Horeca Award 2008 for the most innovative enterprise, this is a place to discover with your partner or some good friends or colleagues. Massages by absolute professionals, a selection of treatments, adapted food, soft music, zen rooms if you wish to make it a multiday event…Nooz has it all and is definitely worth the detour.

Culiair?..Fine cuisine, high in the sky!

How does one arrive at the idea of using a hot-air balloon as a fan oven? We all let our imagination run wild at times, whether sitting at a sun-drenched terrace, or in our cars enjoying jazzy music. One summer day, while driving along a countryside trail, master chef Angélique Schmeinck spotted a hot-air balloon, its burner just igniting to lift the balloon up into the air. This image gave rise to the logic of a hot-air balloon actually being an enormous fan oven.

The idea of providing ‘haute’ cuisine with a literal meaning was born, and the fantasy evolved... Never just let such a wild idea drift away, because it turned out that anything is possible! Together with a group of enthusiastic friends, CuliAir was brought to life. In 2003, Angélique enjoyed the world premiere of conducting a flight with three linked balloons. At great altitude, she served a three-course dinner to fifty guests. Why not try out this great idea for your next event?

BBT Online readers share their top favorite restaurants, hotels, destinations, personalities, and so much more ..

This time BBT Online asked 2 gentlemen who have by now more than made their mark in our industry to unveil their favorite places, likes & dislikes, people they admire, people they would like to meet up with around a dinner table…in short, we ask for their own particular view on a host of subjects.

Eric Rozenberg, CMM, CMP, Swantegy – www.swantegy.com & Hugo Slimbrouck, Ovation Global DMC – www.ovationdmc.com, are both ‘bon vivants’ and well travelled people, their choices and ideas are very different but the suggestions and addresses are definitely worth noting and they both adore one of Brussels’ great classics: La Maison du Boeuf at the Hilton!…They are both seasoned travelers and have been around the globe more than once, yet they both choose the same hotel in India, Devi Garh, as a favorite! Spooky!

….there is definitely
never a dull moment with those two! Happy reading!

Royal La Rasante introduces Corean Relaxation

Corean relaxation is different from traditional massages because all treatments are done with clothes on and lying on the floor. This ancient method aims mainly at relieving all pent up stress from the body.

The body is stretched and soft movements make you relax. Something we could all do with I would think! Royal La Rasante is a private wellness club but the Spa is also open to non-members.

The Flemish Government has decided to invest 57.2 million euro in the renovation and expansion of the Koningin Elisabethzaal to make it into a full service convention centre.. With the location next to the Central Station, the Zoological Garden and the center of Antwerp, this complex will have a lot of strong points to propose to organizers for events up to 2000 participants.

If all goes according to plan, the renovations start early 2010, and the “new” convention hall will be available as soon as 2011.

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate!!

That Belgium has the best chocolate in the world is a given! In fact, any incentive or meeting activity n Brussels or Belgium should include a visit to a chocolate atelier to celebrate the delicious food!

Chocolaterie Duval is another fine address for organizers to contact to visit with small groups and see the process of chocolate making up close…and of course let’s not forget the tasting! Another hot address for the many chocolate lovers!

Wish you were here …..!!!

Holland & Belgium have a multitude of meeting & convention accommodations and in the convention & meeting market is an important player in today’s economy.
