In March Brussels will have a new venue/meeting place near Midi Station: The Egg is described as a breeding place for the creative industry and will offer a full package solution in Rue Bara, Brussels.

The idea is to have a congregation of creative industries under one roof and more than 20 professional associations in the creative world have already signed on. It will also have a large restaurant and meeting facilities such as two studios, one Congress/Auditorium and one Hall.

The largest room will be able to take up to 900 people, there will also be an exhibition hall, and there are nearby parking facilities.

On the Eilandje in the Antwerp Harbor stand proudly a number of old and historical warehouses that have been converted in lofts, restaurants and now .., the Felix Pakhuis, in a multilayered venue.

In 1976 recognized as a classified monument this guaranteed that the original lines of the venue were kept unchanged and that is exactly what gives BBT Agendaits unique character to this venue. The Living, a restaurant, the Terrace with views of the yacht harbor, the Salon which also doubles as a concert hall (623 m²) or the Markt (market) are perfect settings for glam events.

Nobis Hotel

On December 1, 2010 Design Hotels newest member opened in Stockholm: the Nobis Hotel. The hotel is designed by the renowned Scandinavian architecture and interior design firm Claesson Koivisto Rune and is located on Norrmalmstorg square in the heart of Stockholm’s business and shopping district.

The 201-room hotel has a very personal approach to service and offers 800 m² of public spaces, including the Italian restaurant Caina, 24/7 Bistro, The Gold Bar and The Lounge.

The ‘Culinary World Cup’ is a big international culinary competition held every four years during the gastro fair ‘Expogast’ in Luxemburg which was held end November. The competition is under the patronage of the World Association of Chefs Societies a total of 2.400 Chefs from 36 countries (25 national and 52 regional teams) participated.

The Amsterdam Regional Team under the command of Chef Martin Hoppers, Executive Chef at the Crowne Plaza Schiphol, managed to take not one but four silver medals! A great result!

The ROI Methodology Foundation Certificate
Tips for organizing an event

The Event ROI Institute is introducing a new professional qualification, the ROI Methodology Foundation Certificate. The program involves an initial 2-day course, a period of coaching during practical application and the completion of a meeting effectiveness evaluation report.

This program is aimed at anyone engaged in the planning and evaluation of meetings and events in corporations, associations and public bodies, as well as meeting management professionals in companies providing products and services to meeting owners. It is a certificate for those who need to improve the effectiveness of meetings and events and to demonstrate value to stakeholders.

In addition to the training course and coaching, participants are invited to join the ROI Alumni Network, a community where past attendees from many different countries discuss their cases and share best practices.

The ROI Methodology Foundation Certificate is a professional qualification in its own right, but can also be a stepping stone to the ROI Certified Professional designation which involves a further 3-Elling Hamsoday training course and a full financial ROI case study.

A cold November night, a warm & cozy venue – Cook & Book in Woluwe and the first of a series of  ‘New Wave’ workshops organized & planned by BBT Online.

How far more different can Oman, Valle d’Aosta, Ireland and Curaçao be? And yet, for the 50 Belgian Incentive & Event planners who attended the workshop at Cook & Book, it was a perfect marriage of opportunities. The formula was fairly simple: divided in 4 groups the attendees ‘traveled’ to each destination and listened to the presentations whilst enjoying a selection of delicious ‘bites’ from that particular region. A short presentation, a Q&A session and off we went with our goodie bags to our next stop.

When you see people enjoying themselves and network with one another whilst taking in information and meeting representatives & suppliers of a region, you know you have a winner on your hands.
