Thoueris has recreated many of history’s signature dishes for famous people cooked in slow food fashion and invites you and your guests to travel in time and savour tastes and flavours that you have probably not tasted before! , go there and be different!
Bois du Cazier

Bois du Cazier is living history. Marcinelle, in the heart of the former mining country has maintained nearly intact the great site of one of the last coalmines of Belgium and turned it into a great venue for events, seminars or even family days.

It is definitely unusual to organize an event on an industrial site, but by using a ‘setting with a difference’ you will for sure make the difference for your delegates! Professionally equipped rooms, easy access and vast parking facilities and history alive around you. Click here for more info.

The 3 ways to Success are:

To be seen at own risk!!

It needs more than a healthy dose of guts, more a bit of an unhealthy level of curiosity to visit some of the places where major disasters took place. The Guardian, one of Britain’s leading papers, drew up a list of some of these ‘exceptional’ destinations such as Chernobyl
‘Allegedly’ some parts of the nuclear disaster area are safe nowadays and plans exist to escort guided tours to the desolate city. More for chemical fans: Anthrax island, or Gruinard island near the Scottish coast where tests were done with the highly toxic anthrax on flocks of sheep. Today (50 years later!) it is deemed clean and is recommended for birdwatchers and hikers.

More contemporary, a guided tour through the Democratic Republic of Korea (North Korea!): the plains are considered dangerous and no one is allowed outside of the hotels without a ‘government guide’, but you can sample the local delicacy: dog soup!

Call us old fashioned, but we prefer a more ‘classic’ approach to tourism: a decent airline, clean hotels, clean air and sunny faces…

To be seen

Tignes, where skiing goes on… and on!
Give a Night, a rather perfect gift!

When all other resorts start closing down, Tignes is till going full blast and skiing goes on well into spring… Tignes is fun, Tignes is hip and this year Tignes offers skiing until May 8th!!

The Grande Motte Glacier offers the best of both worlds: sparkling sunshine and high altitude snow.. for the real aficionados, a treat as no Agendaother!

Also check out the special promotions for the end of season!

If you are looking for the perfect gift for someone who loves to have a weekend out, ‘Give a Night’ could well be your saviour. Here, you can buy a gift card worth an overnight stay in more than 50.000 of the best three, four and five star hotels worldwide.

The value varies from € 25 to € 2.000. You can send them directly to your lucky friend/client, or to your own home, so you’ll have the pleasure of personally giving him his gift. You don’t even have to rush, because there is no expiration date on the card, nor are there any hidden costs which might surprise you on location. They work with individuals as well as companies.
The freedom of outdoor life
Rent a boat!

Camp Silver is a unique location on the west side of the Frisian island of Texel in The Netherlands. The scenery of meadows, dikes and dune tops is dominated by impressive banks of clouds, the sun and the wind.

Camp Silver combines the freedom of outdoor life with the comfort and service of a luxury hotel. Eight American Airstream Trailers were specially made for this location and can each accommodate two people. The dome-like tent in the middle of the field is used as lounge and breakfast area. The retro-futuristic design of the domes and trailers turn staying on Texel into a complete adventure!

Never driven a boat before, no navigating license? And yet, you can rent a boat and set off. after a thorough instruction of course!

Holland, Belgium, France, Germany.. Le Boat has many places in Europe where you can start an unforgettable trip from across lakes, rivers, canals. Sleep accommodation for up to 8 people on some of the boats, enough space to guarantee privacy and the fun of being master aboard your own boat and visiting fun places at your pace! The possibilities are endless but a ‘different’ experience is a given.
