Midi Station…not your regular ‘Buffet de la Gare’!

BBT Online’s favourite designer, Antoine Pinto did it again: he surprised friend and foe with his latest creation the ubiquitous ‘Midi Station’ located in Brussels. Midi station is more than a typical Pinto Brasserie with the style and details we have come to expect from him, it is a brand new concept where breakfast as well as nightlife can be organized passing by all the other traditional food and drink solutions. The place is enormous - 2000 - and can welcome 400 clients, definitely a new and exciting venue for groups looking for something different!
There is not a fixed date when Midi Station will open its doors exactly, although it will be one of the coming weeks!

Other New Venues

Venue for car freaks: Porsche Museum
Late January saw the opening of the brand new, purpose build Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, celebrating 60 years of Porsche. The 5,600 m² of exhibition space are supported on just three so-called cores of reinforced concrete – hence just seeming to hover in space. Inside the building the majority of approximately 80 exhibits are already in place. The permanent collection includes another 300 vehicles. The perfect venue for car lovers of all ages! www.porsche.com/museum

Amsterdam, for less than your …parking ticket

Amsterdam is a city that never ceases to amaze us. The very strict and expensive parking policy of the city have resulted in a strange situation: due to the crisis which resulted in low occupancies midweek, it is now possible to book hotel rooms in the city at about half the price of a full day parking in Amsterdam….the world upside down! The message is clear, go by train and enjoy a low budget stay in one of the 200 plus hotels of the Dutch Capital.
EMIF 2009 for Associations

Parallel to the corporate seminars, EMIF 2009 will also be ‘the place to be’ for Association Managers. ESAE (European Society of Association Management) organizes its annual convention during the show on March 18th at the show venue Tour & Taxis. Recession & crisis will also be the keywords at this convention; one of the subjects under scrutiny will be ‘how to reduce the financial risks' when organizing international meetings in a climate where sponsor contributions have been reduced dramatically and meeting venues are less inclined to offer deals.
