Our reporter Jonathan has been making pictures of a lot of famous and less famous people living in Berchem, Antwerp. All of this was done for the #Berchemcreatives project, aimed at turning one of Antwerp’s nicest districts into its main creative hub.

The project is going to be presented during an opening weekend offering food, music, an art exhibition and several creative workshops on the grounds of the De Koninck Brewery from 29 April to 1 May.

Of course you will be able to see a selection of his pics as well. More info here.

BBT Online in the footsteps of Robin Hood – Destination report
Robin Hood Robin Hood Robin Hood

A few weeks ago, BBT Online was invited by bmi regional for a quick but interesting visit to Nottingham – a relatively unknown city right in the heart of England.

It’s always surprising how much you can actually experience in 24 hours. A new destination, new people: the magic of incentive travel!

We had close to zero expectations before we left. It turned out be a surprising destination. We ate in the coolest bar/restaurant ever: in an actual church. Not like the Jane for example, but just super cosy. We saw cool boutique hotels, great restaurants and the events were created around the Legend of Robin Hood. Nottingham is a lively, young city, a great city for incentives on a budget.

We flew out at 7pm and we were back in Brussels the next day at 10 pm, with 101 new impressions and the feeling we had been gone for five days.

Swiss excellence in Montreux-Villars – Destination report
Swiss Swiss Swiss Swiss

In a joint venture with BBT Online, Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau, Swiss Railways and Montreux & Villars sur Ollon Tourism organised a educational trip for Belgian incentive organisers from 19 to 21 March. Little did we know that the next day, March 22nd 2016, our world would change for ever.

We enjoyed our stay: fantastic sunny weather, great food, lots of interesting venuesopening of Chaplin’s world - and of course, some time for skiing.

To change things up, we asked one of the participants to write down her experiences during the trip. Brigitte Van Vlierden, owner of the B-ways MICE agency gladly shared her thoughts.

Lobster fishing with BBT Online – Destination report

We were invited to Oosterschelde for the opening of the lobster fishing season. What makes these lobsters so special and who would be foolish enough to get up early on a cold morning to investigate?

We sent our colleague Colin Moors to investigate and to taste.

Sweet Sicily – Destination report

Our reporter Jonathan had to pleasure to join a group of European MICE journalists for a two day stay in Rocco Forte’s fabulous Verdura Resort on the South-western coast of Sicily.

There he would have ample time to enjoy his surroundings, to freshen up his Italian cooking skills, to find out about Verdura’s options for incentive and event organisers and to explore some of the most impressive parts of the island. It was truly an offer he couldn’t resist.
