Shark attack at Aquatopia!
The Wood

Aquatopia, the unique water wonderland opposite Central Station in Antwerp is known for its great collection of exotic fish and reptiles. In the coming weeks the 12 different sharks are put in the spotlight. 9 of them live in a 400.000 liter aquarium and can be admired from the transparent tunnel that goes underneath the aquarium.

The new “shark experience” goes one further and makes it possible to go up close and personal with a 3 meter long shark, touch him and for the very brave even feed him…Maybe the sharks will be better understood after you have touched and caressed them…?

We are not so sure but definitely worth a try!

The Bois de la Cambre is one of the most beautiful landscaped public parks in Europe and was classified as an historical monument in 1976. In the heart of this green lung of Brussels you can find ‘The Wood’, an old hunting pavilion, completely restored to its former glory.

Newly opened, The Wood is rapidly on its way to become one of the trendy places of the capital, its restaurant seats 100 inside and 150 on the magnificent terrace outside. Once the winter season is upon us, smokers can still retire to the beautifully appointed smokersroom. The venue can be taken over for events and has a great room on the first floor, ideal for product launches , etc.. And ..no parking problems in that neck of the woods!

Wish you were here ...

‘Kasteel Groenhoven’ is the living proof that one does not always have to travel far away to have the ‘wish you were here’ feeling. The Mansion lies exactly between Antwerp and Brussels and is still today a fairly unknown venue.

The castle has been completely renovated by its owners and combines the high living with a super modern setting. It is surrounded by a magnificent 25 acres park with a lake which can be used for the organization of teambuilding activities. Inside, the castle offers several meeting facilities and also 5 bedrooms. And if it is a really big party you had in mind, the party tents in the garden can house large numbers without having to wonder about excessive noise! A special detail, on the roof of the house is an open air shower; imagine yourself showering under the stars with a view of the lake and the impressive gardens. What more can you ask for?

The team at ‘Kasteel Groenhoven’ is very creative, they will even find you little elfins to welcome your guests in the gardens. Last but not least, Groenhoven houses its own genuine Rubens painting....

Legendary Citroen on the French Roads
The MaX

A drive with the legendary and fabulous ‘Traction Avant Citroen’ is guaranteed to be the stuff that makes memorable experiences. Its positive image among all generations will be a wonderful way of traveling and meeting people.

The 7, 11, 15 and 22 HP tractions are not just legends. They're the cars of police, bandits, Gestapo, but also the car of the resistance. Built from 1934 to 1957, this car changed the automobile world with its mechanical and body innovations.
Dating from 1938 to 1957, the Citroen tractions have been completely reconditioned and are mechanically sound cars. They are easily and comfortably driven by all. Their bodies are in mint condition as are all security elements to ensure a safe drive to all its occupants.

At a party we recently attended we discovered a group of crazy music makers who brought a rather stuffy group of people alive..and on the dance floor.

The MaX is a band of 7 professional musicians who offer not only a great selection of music for play but will totally adapt to the concept or theme of your party. Because they are a tiny bit mad ..they say so themselves!! …. they seem to be able to convey their happy, crazy mood to a crowd of party goers as divers as they may be, and that alone is worth its weight in gold to any event organizer!
Swing, groove, latino or a combination of all styles, the MaX will bring it with enthusiasm and professionalism for just 1 hour or for an entire evening, the choice is yours!!

Serene Cambodian beauty
All-expenses-covered stay: Quincy!
Located on the southeast coast of Cambodia, the resort comprises of 3 renovated villas built in the 1970s in Le Corbusier style. The eleven rooms are all individually decorated and each have their own identity. Each of the villas has large terraces with breathtaking views of the sea and the islands. The surrounding garden are ideal for yoga and meditation.

Founded by two Belgians, who came to Cambodia on holidays in 2003, the three villas were transformed into an enchanting hideaway, where personalized service gives you a sense of home, family and community. Knai Bang Chatt” in Khmer means a rainbow encircling the sun. In Buddhist symbolism, this rainbow is the halo around Buddha's head. It is this halo that shelters and protects everyone who comes to Knai Bang Chatt, where a sense of the divine exudes from its location, facilities and the genuine people who greet you.

Singapore is a growing city that looks after its creature comforts, especially when travelling. Proof, a new hotel recently opened in Singapore to provide a bespoke, all-expenses-covered stay: Quincy, a city hotel targeting business (and leisure) travellers.

Situated just steps away from Singapore's Orchard Road, Quincy is a 108-room boutique hotel where the room rate covers virtually everything. Guests begin their visit with complimentary limousine pickup from the airport and free wifi during the 20-minute ride.
Three meals a day at the hotel are also included, as are cocktails from 6 to 8 pm. It's a clever move - cost-cutting measures have slashed corporate travel budgets, and those travelling for business might well be swayed by a hotel that will pamper them without presenting a long, itemized bill or unexpected charges.

Etiquette abroad!
Kevin Strubbe, former major domo at the Belgian Court, has written a most useful and interesting book on etiquette in other countries. He gives tips and pointers for a great number of countries that will help travelers to enjoy their foreign experience even more without upsetting the natives!

Women who love their high heels may already be aware of ‘emergency’ flats that roll up and fit inside a purse in order to be slipped onto tired feet the end of a long night of dancing. In England portable flats are now being sold in vending machines at nightclubs. Clearly a concept that can also be extended to sore feet at the end of a long day at a trade fair!

Rollasoles: when tested in nightclubs, the classic looking ballet quickly shoes sold out.
Afterheels are similar rollable ballet flats but have—according to the company—the added feature of being sustainable.
Both Rollasoles and Afterheels are sold with a matching bag to carry their wearer's stilettos home.

Great Brazil Express, all aboard!!

Last year Brazil launched the Great Brazil Express, the first luxury train-cruise in Middle and South America that travels through the South of Brazil. The sights on the trip are great and it ends at the waterfalls of Iguacu.

The trip starts in magical Rio with a visit of the famous sights of the city and the famous beaches. From there a flight takes the passengers to Curitibia from where the 2 luxury Pullman cars will leave on their journey to the coastal town of Morretes. Via the most incredible sights the trip finally ends near the Argentine-Paraguay border at the falls of Foz Do Iguacu. The total journey takes 8 to 9 days, overnights take place in the many colourful towns and villages that are on the itinerary. Currently the Great Brazil Express makes the trip 2 to 4 times per month.
